General Information Consular


For a VISA application, you must get in touch with our consular team via email (bdootmexico@gmail.com) and follow the next steps:

  1. Send an email to bdootmexico@gmail.com with the clear and detailed motive of your VISA application, including:
    • Visa Application Form filled out you can find here
    • Your itinerary, approximate 
    • Scanned original Passport 
    • An invitation to enter the country
  2. Afterwards, you will receive confirmation from the consular area regarding your documents. If you are in the country, you must proceed to make an appointment to come to the Embassy in Mexico City and receive your VISA. You must also bring with you to your appointment 2 passport size photographs and proof of payment. The amount of the payment depends on your nationality, you can find here. 
  3. If you are not able to come to the Bangladesh Embassy in Mexico City, please let the consular area know the reason via email and they will inform you on how to proceed in order to send your documents via DHL with the required documents and a prepaid guide to return your documents to you.

DEDICATED TELEPHONE HOURS FOR CONSULAR QUERIES (10:00 am to 04:00 pm ON WEEKDAYS EXCEPT EMBASSY HOLIDAYS)

The Embassy of Bangladesh is pleased to allocate a dedicated timeframe for responding to few consular related queries over telephone. 

Appointments: Applications for consular services are accepted between 09:30 AM and 12:30 PM with prior appointment. Delivery time is between 01:00 -03:30 pm.  No application is received after 1:00 PM except in the cases of emergencies, such as death or illness in the family.

Fee:  Please check fees for consular services.

No Refunds: Fees, once received, cannot be refunded, even if the application is withdrawn or service cannot be rendered.

Processing Time: This is given with the related forms. This time schedule does not apply to services for which reference has to be made to competent authorities in Bangladesh.

The Embassy will get in touch with applicants in cases where the applications are incomplete/incorrect, the fees sent are not adequate or not paid in the acceptable manner or where there are other deficiencies.
